Mirror Glaze is a four member band from Hamburg, Germany. They also like to call themselves: “Garage Surfers from Hippie Beach“. This is a short explanation of their groovy, bloomy, surfy, rock 'n' roll lo-fi, reverb sound. Having internalized the heritage of the 60s beat generation and a flow of the late 70s; they offer a rock 'n' roll flashback, in a perfect synergy. Like Bob Dylan and Patti Smith had a child in the early 60s, which is adopted from “Dead Moon“ in the late 70s.

Mirror Glaze's songs deal with the sensation of being lost within your own generation, experiences of the surreality of life and the mystery of love.

The rough and smoky voice of the lead singer whispers softly in your ears. Supported by a dreamily, and at the same time furious, background singing. The trippy and joyful lead guitar is supported by a dirty and sparkly rhythm guitar, weaving together perfectly. The bass contributes with groovy and bloomy sounds earthed by the rhythmic drum play, reminding of perfect clockwork.

Mirror Glaze started in the winter of 2018, although the first ideas go back several years before that, when Ray decided to give up his solo project „Love Propagators“ to start a real rock 'n' roll band. After moving to Hamburg, Ray met Olçayto with whom he often jammed and formed a friendship. After years of looking for suitable musicians, first Christian joined on drums. Shortly after Aurore joined up the outfit, Christian followed fortune and went to Berlin. Looking for a new drummer Mirror Glaze put up an advertisement on an advertising pillar in front of Rays flat. This is how Mau got washed in. After some sessions, it became clear, that these guys just fit perfectly.
In January 2019, Mirror Glaze gave their debut in the “Komet“ at Hamburg, St. Pauli. Mirror Glaze' first EP called “Sugarfactory“ was recorded in early 2020. It will be released on tape in the summer of 2020 by “La Pochette Surprise Records“.
